Stolen Ham Gear Registry - Home

Car prowls are the number one form of larceny. Cars are often left vulnerable with valuable equipment left unsecured within. Car alarm or not, thieves can break a window and be off with personal items in just seconds. They don't care if you see them or call the police, because they will run off and get away before police arrive. It is extremely easy to get away with breaking into cars, and even easier to offload the items, especially with Web sites like E-bay and Craigslist. The best way to avoid becoming a victim is to minimize risk.

Maybe you weren't aware of how to minimize risk, or maybe you did what you could but still were victimized. There are a couple of things you can do. First, REPORT IT TO THE POLICE. It is estimated that less than 30% of victims of car prowls actually report it. The reasons vary, but failing to report provides you with little hope of recovering your gear. Second, POST IT HERE. Nobody else provides a registry of stolen Ham gear. The most likely person to unknowingly purchase your stolen Ham gear is another Ham. Ham's, by nature, are law-abiding citizens that would like to help you get your gear back and see the punishment of the crime. Give them a fighting chance by posting the details of your stolen gear here.
