B.C. Amateur Radio Coordination Council Two-metre Band Plan "A"
(for South-Western BC, Vancouver Island, BC Interior)
(For areas adjacent to Alberta, the Yukon and Alaska, see Plan "B")
Revised August 2003 following decisions of BCARCC AGM of March 2003.
Refer to website www.bcarcc.org for updates.
Adapted from the RAC 2M Plan, to align with the WWARA band plan for Washington.
(Note: The BOLD frequencies are sequential.)

| Notes: | |
| 1) | This band plan applies only to southwestern BC, Vancouver Island and the adjacent mainland, and the BC interior west of the Rocky Mountains (wherever coordination with Alberta is not paramount). |
| 2) | For channelized sub-bands, unless otherwise stated the first frequency of a group is the carrier centre frequency of the first channel, and the last frequency of the group is the carrier centre frequency of the last channel. |
| 3) | For non-channelized sub-bands, operation anywhere in the sub-band, including band edges, is allowed. |
| 4) | The frequency 146.400 MHz is preferred as an FM Simplex channel. In some cases, 146.400 can be coordinated as an alternative input for a repeater with output on 147.000 MHz. |
| 5) | Frequencies from 147.420 to 147.585 (15 kHz interval) have been classified for use by internet-linked simplex operations. Operators are encouraged to use minimum output power, and to load the sub-band from the highest frequency down, recognizing that operation on adjacent 15 kHz channels may not be feasible in the same coverage area. Experimentation is limited to the SNP channels. Some digital (packet) operations have operated in this frequency range for many years, and may continue to operate here for a reasonable but limited period of time, after which they are expected to move to one of the ranges assigned to digital operation. |
| * | The repeater channels transmitting on 145.130 MHz and 145.290 MHz are SNP (Shared, Non-Protected) channels. Tone-coded squelch is mandatory for all SNP channels. |
