GMRS LICENSE You must have a current GMRS license to use the CCARC GMRS repeater. Your immediate family members may also use the repeater under your supervision. IDENTIFICATION You must identify yourself by stating your GMRS call sign during the first transmission of each conversation, approximately every ten minutes during your conversation, and on the final transmission of your conversation. PAGING The use of paging or call tones or ringing sound effects is strictly prohibited, with the exception of the 2-tone paging system in use by specifically authorized CCARC users. CONVERSATION LENGTH Other users may be monitoring a repeater on a regular basis to be of service to others in need. Please be considerate of them. If your brief conversation turns into a lengthy one, please consider whether you might wish to continue the conversation by telephone. CONVERSATION CONTENT A GMRS license permits the licensee’s family members to operate a radio and use a repeater. To ensure that the repeater is a family-friendly place, please conduct yourself as though children are present. Avoid the use of coarse language and avoid using the repeater to advance your personal views on sensitive issues. COMMERCIAL USE PROHIBITED The CCARC GMRS repeater is intended for recreational use with emergency communications always taking priority. Use of the repeater for any commercial purposes is strictly prohibited. DISCLAIMER The operation and coverage of the CCARC GMRS repeaters cannot be guaranteed and may vary from time to time. The repeater may be turned off at any time without prior notice. |
