The GB7SQ DMR Brandmeister UHF Repeater will return to service by the middle of June 2024 using a Hytera RD-985 Repeater. This repeater has full support for location and SMS services. The repeater can operate in Mixed Network Connected mode and will accept and repeat analogue FM signals with a 94.8 CTCSS tone as well as DMR on the BM network The repeater is located approximately 15Km south of Edinburgh and will compliment and enhance the coverage of the GB7EE repeater which has poor coverage in the area south west of Edinburgh along the main routes to Loanhead, Penicuik and towards Peebles. GB7EE coverage is also poor to the south of the Moorfoot hills . GB7SQ will fill in this coverage deficit ,overlap and enhance the coverage of GB7EE. It will be linked to other Scottish DMR Repeaters on Slot 2 Talk group 2355 Scot Wide as a default and can be user switched to any of the Brandmeister reflectors. Slot one will carry all the Brandmeister Talk groups as user activated and Scot Multi TG 23551 as a static Operation will be DMR only. Reports of coverage, changes in sensitivity and general performance welcome . Please mail [email protected] with details. Rob MM1BJO .
