Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1201 PM AKST, the public reported flooding along the Anchor River near the Old Sterling Highway and along the Sterling Highway near mile marker 161 (Blackwater Bend). Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly, especially near the Anchor River. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood - If you live near or along the Anchor River stay alert and be prepared to take action.
