====== Kenwood MCP-2A ====== =====MCP (Memory Control Program)===== The Kenwood MCP-2A software is a free radio programming application used to program the TM-V71A/E, TM-D710A/E transceivers, and the RC-D710 control panel. It can be downloaded here. The MCP-2A software can accept three types of file exports from Repeaterbook.com. * Kenwood HMK File * TravelPlus TPE File * TravelPlus CSV File =====Importing / Exporting===== The software can import and export in two formats: * HMK(Kenwood proprietary CSV format) * TSV (Travel Plus CSV format) ===== Supported Searches ===== ^ Search Page ^ North America ^ Rest of World ^ | **Favorite** | Operational| Development Planned | | **Feature** | Development Planned| Development Planned| | **Keyword** | Operational| Development Planned| | **Location** | Development Planned| Development Planned| | **Multi-County** | Operational | | | **Multi-State** | Development Planned | | | **Proximity** | Operational| Operational| | **Proximity 2.0** | Development Planned | Development Planned| | **Quick** | Operational| Operational| | **Super Search** | Development Planned | Development Planned | | **Travel** | Operational| | =====Kenwood HMK File===== The HMK file exports the following headers: **Ch**: Channel number - Memory channel number. Auto-increments and starts at 1. **Rx Freq.**: Downlink (Receive) Frequency - **Rx Step**: Receive Channel Step - **Offset**: Repeater Offset - **T/CT/DCS**: Uplink Tone Type - T = Uplink tone only. CT = Uplink and Downlink Tone. DCS is digital squelch. **TO Freq.**: Uplink (Transmit) Tone Frequency - Repeater's value or 77.0. **CT Freq.**: Downlink (Receive) CTCSS Frequency - Repeater's value or 88.5 **DCS Code**: Digital Coded Squelch Code - Repeater's value or 023. **Shift/Split**: Repeater Shift Direction - "+" or "-". **Rev.**: Repeater Reverse - Default is Off. **L.Out**: Transmit Lockout - Default is Off. **Mode**: Modulation Mode - Always FM **Tx Freq.**: Transmit (Uplink) Frequency **Tx Step**: Bandplan correct. **M.Name**: Memory Channel Name - Repeater call sign. The HMK file can be imported into all of the Kenwood MCP programs that accept the HMK file. The file is not specific to a particular application. ===== TravelPlus TPE and CSV Files===== The TPE and CSV files exports the following headers: **Sequence Number**: Auto-incremented for each row starting at 1. Can be selected as the memory channel name. **Country**: The country the repeater is in. Only used if selected as the memory channel name. **State**: The state the repeater is in. Only used if selected as the memory channel name. **Region**: The region the repeater in. Only used if selected as the memory channel name. **Location**: The nearest city the repeater is in. Only used if selected as the memory channel name. **Output Frequency**: Downlink (Receive) Frequency from the repeater. **Input Frequency**: Uplink (Transmit) Frequency to the repeater. Not used. **Call Sign**: Repeater call sign. Only used if selected as the memory channel name. **Repeater Notes**: ARRL standard repeater not abbreviations. Nt used. **CTCSS Tones**: Comma-separated list of the radio CTCSS uplink and downlink tones and the DCS code. **Sponsor**: Repeater sponsor. Not exported or used. Unlike the HMK file, you can select the data field to represent the memory channel name. The options are: * None * Country * Region * Callsign * Sequence Number * State * Location * Sponsor Repeaterbook recommends using the Callsign or the Location fields. The field is limited to 8 characters, so many location entries may be truncated. The program does not properly import split channel repeaters. It imports all split channels as simplex channels.
