The repeater location field indicates the city, town, or village where the repeater is located or the closest location to it. If the repeater is in a suburb of a larger city, it should be listed under the suburb's name.
Accurate location information is essential for RepeaterBook to assign precise coordinates to the repeater, If the coordinates were not provided. These coordinates are used to determine the repeater's placement within a coverage area, enhancing the accuracy of search results, and map display, and the app.
RepeaterBook outputs data to the ARRL Repeater Directory and certain computer-based programming software applications. We adjust data to look uniform across all states and provinces.
Certain automated adjustments are made to location names:
Center → Ctr Township → Twp Saint → St Building → Bldg Point → Pt
Period are removed and the place names are capitalized. However, the word(s) should not be all caps.
