This is an old revision of the document!
You are required to register to gain the full benefit of Repeaterbook.com, including exporting data and requesting updates. To reduce the amount of spam and invalid data the system experiences, you are required to register with a valid amateur radio call sign. All registrations are verified by an admin. We receive many registrations with GMRS call signs. We do not have data related to GMRS, so these accounts will be deleted if created. We also receive registrations from folks who are interested in amateur radio and have not yet obtained their amateur radio call signs. Again, we apologize, but cannot accept registrations without valid amateur radio call signs.
You are also required to enter a valid email address. An email will be sent to the address you enter to validate the email. If you do not respond to the email, your account will not be validated and you will not be able to log in. If you did not receive an email, please check your spam folder for it. If you never receive it at all, please contact the Site Admin for assistance.
If a user has a problem logging into Repeaterbook.com, it could be due to a password issue.
Please check and try the following suggestions to assist you when having problems logging in:
You can change your own username/call sign and other account settings here. You must use your amateur radio callsign as your username. Any accounts not utilizing an amateur radio call sign will be deleted.
Occasionally, users may also experience an invalid token error. This is due to the security settings within the Joomla framework that powers the RepeaterBook front end. Typically, we recommend following the on-screen instructions which recommend trying again. Just simply re-enter your call sign and password and, for most users, you will be admitted to the site.
This most commonly occurs when using multiple browsers or computers to access the site. For example, if you last logged in on your PC at home, and then attempt to log in at work, you may see the error. Same thing if you switch from a PC to a smartphone.
