Yaesu ADMS-11

The ADMS-11 software provides editing capabilities for the FT3DR/DE memory channel frequencies, channel information, and alpha tags, using a personal computer. Also, the transceiver parameters and the setup menu items may be edited and configured.

The radio is shipped with a micro-USB cable. This cable is NOT for programming the radio. It is only for performing firmware updates. The cloning cable is about $25.

An alternative method for programming the radio is with a microSD card. A microSD card is not included with the radio but can be purchased separately.

Importing / Exporting

900 memory channels.

Programming and Firmware

Cable

Yaesu SCU-19 cable is required.

  1. Turn the radio off.
  2. Connect the cable to DATA port.
  3. Press and hold the [DISP] key while turning on the radio. (“CLONE” will appear on the display).

MicroSD Card (Preferred Method)

Maximum MicroSD card size is 32 GB.

  1. Turn the radio on. “SD” should display on the upper portion of the display.
  2. Ordered List ItemHold the [DISP] key until the menu appears.
  3. Select “SD Card.”
  4. Ordered List ItemSelect “BACKUP” and press the [DISP] key.
  5. Ordered List ItemUse the touch screen to select “OK” twice. The [DISP] key will cancel.

Reading and Writing Data on the MicroSD card with the ADMS-11 Software:

  1. Click “Communications” from the toolbar.
  2. Select the needed MicroSD card option from the menu.
  3. Ordered List ItemFiles are stored on the MicroSD card in the FT3D » BACKUP folder as BACKUP.dat

Multiple files can be stored here, but only the file named “BACKUP.dat” will be read by the radio. This gives you the flexibility to store multiple configurations on the card and just change their names as needed.

Firmware

The current firmware is Ver 1.02 as of 12/19/2019.

When updating firmware, use the supplied cable.

Troubleshooting Errors

When the export is conducted from RepeaterBook.com, the file may automatically open in Excel. If any column contains values like “#NAME?” then you cannot use Excel to manipulate the data. Usually, the culprit is Column F, where the offset symbols with “+” and “-” are used. Excel attempts to convert that to a formula and fails. Saving the file will corrupt that column and cause it to fail on import.

Do not edit and save the file in Excel.
