Registration Help
You are required to register to gain the full benefits of RepeaterBook.com, including exporting data, updating repeaters, and requesting updates. To reduce spam and invalid data submissions, you must register with a valid amateur radio call sign or a valid GMRS call sign. All registrations are verified by an admin. Anonymous updates or requests are not permitted.
You are also required to provide a valid email address. If your email bounces, you will not receive email communications, and your account may be blocked.
If you need additional help, please contact us for assistance.
Help Logging In
If you are having trouble logging in to RepeaterBook.com, it might be due to a password issue or another account-related problem.
Follow these suggestions to troubleshoot login issues:
- Perform a password reset for your account. You can find the password reset page here.
- Ensure the date and time on your computer are correct. Incorrect date and time settings can cause cookie-related issues that prevent login.
- If you are using Norton Internet Security, McAfee, or CA's Firewall, ensure they are configured to allow cookies from RepeaterBook.com.
- Verify that your browser allows cookies from RepeaterBook.com. While most browsers allow cookies by default, strict security settings can block them. Review your browser's cookie settings to ensure compatibility.
- If you have followed these steps and still cannot log in, please contact support.
Changing Your Username (Call Sign)
You can change your username (call sign) and other account settings here. It is mandatory to use your government-issued call sign as your username. Accounts not using an amateur radio or GMRS call sign will be deleted.
If you are a USA-based user with both a GMRS and an amateur radio call sign, or if you later obtain an amateur radio call sign, you should use the amateur radio call sign. Do not create a second account. Simply update your original username.
Users with a GMRS call sign cannot request updates to amateur radio repeaters.
Invalid Token Error
Occasionally, users may encounter an “invalid token” error. This error arises from the security settings within the Joomla content management system (CMS) that powers the RepeaterBook front end.
If you encounter this error:
- Follow the on-screen instructions and try logging in again. Re-enter your call sign and password.
- This issue is most common when switching between devices or browsers. For example, logging in on a PC at home and then trying to log in at work or switching from a PC to a smartphone may trigger the error.
For most users, re-entering credentials resolves the issue. If problems persist, please contact support.
