Repeater County
The repeater county field is a sub-geographical term primarily used in the United States and represents a government boundary. Counties are divisions within states and serve as a way to organize repeaters by location.
In some U.S. states, counties may have alternative names or designations. For example, Louisiana uses “parishes,” and Alaska uses “boroughs.”
For regions outside of the United States, such as Canada and Mexico, RepeaterBook does not break down locations into county-equivalent structures.
Repeater Sub-Geographic Location
The sub-geographic location (or “Sub-Geo”) field is used in other parts of the world to represent sub-geographical regions within a country. These divisions may vary by country:
- In Argentina, sub-geographic regions are sub-provincial and referred to as “departments.” - In other regions, similar sub-geographic terms may apply, depending on local administrative divisions.
This field provides flexibility in organizing repeaters based on the geographical conventions of each country.
Use of these sub-geographical areas in countries outside the United States is on a case-by-case and an as-needed basis.
