RepeaterBook Connect FAQ - 2nd March 2025

What is RepeaterBook Connect?

RepeaterBook Connect allows users to program their radios directly from the RepeaterBook app.

Does it program memory slots or configure settings on the fly.

Currently it sets the VFO on the fly. Many other features are planned. Including in app memories and radio memory programming where supported.

How do I connect my radio via Bluetooth?

Please ensure your radio's Bluetooth is enabled and paired with your device. Supported radios include ICOM 705, ID-52, ID-5100 and ID-4100, Kenwood TH-74/TH-75. Or you can use a third party Bluetooth interface with supported ICOM and Yaesu radios.

What does "Auto Connect" do?

Auto Connect will automatically attempt to reconnect to the last connected device. This connection attempt occurs when the app starts. To ensure a successful connection, make sure the radio is powered on and fully initialized before opening the app.

Android only? What about iPhone

Currently Android only, due to Apple restrictions. RBConnect for iphone is planned.

What is the difference between RBConnect and BlueCAT

If you have a BlueCAT Bluetooth interface then you have the same functions for the radios it supports as you would have with RBConnect. No RBConnect subscription is required to use BlueCAT. RepeaterBook Connect enables hams to use whatever USB/Bluetooth/built in interfaces they already have with any supported radio. It is another option.

I have more than one radio that is supported by RepeaterBook Connect. Can I connect to all of them?

Your RepeaterBook Connect subscription is designed to work across all the radios and interfaces it currently supports, and across all your Android devices using your subscribed Google account.

How much does it cost?

The subscription is £12 (plus local taxes) annually.

What radios are supported?

Are you working on support for additional radios?

Yes. Contact us for the latest information.
